A national model for university research parks, Centennial Campus continues to grow and develop, making the master plan that was envisioned over 25 years ago a reality. The campus is a partnership of university, public, and private development all working together to make NC State a better place.
Centennial Campus is currently home to over 62 corporate, government, and university partners engaged at the cutting edge of collaborative research and development in science and technology. Private firms, located in the heart of this technologically advanced university campus, enjoy increased connectivity to research and development tools, highly acclaimed, presidential award-winning world class faculty, and high achieving students. These firms find homes in market- based commercial leases with service levels equivalent to traditional office parks, but with a key difference: access to knowledge workers and students in a dynamic university campus setting. Centennial Campus is a live, learn, work and play environment unmatched by any other location. NC State distinguishes itself and provides sustainable competitive advantages to its partner firms on Centennial Campus by requiring strong programmatic connectivity between the university and all tenant- partners. A full time staff is devoted to facilitate this connection as a source of increased R&D productivity and access to faculty, students, knowledge workers, and advanced research equipment for your firm.
NC State University is the fee simple landholder, Master Developer and anchor tenant of this fully zoned Master Planned University Research Campus. We create and manage unique public and private capital funding models and offer established and tested business-friendly internal entitlement processes and experienced staff to facilitate business, finance, and legal issues. Additional staff resources are dedicated to enabling programmatic connectivity to leverage a firm’s R&D budget and IP development.
The Centennial Campus Development Office invites end users, commercial real estate brokers, interested site developers, potential financing interests, and others to learn more about current and future ground development and space leasing opportunities on Centennial Campus. The campus is currently home to seven private ground lease landlords holding over 700,000 SF of privately owned and managed office and lab space available for rent. The university also owns and manages on its own account another 500,000 SF of office and lab space on campus.
Centennial Campus continues to grow and develop into the unique community envisioned 25 years ago. Check out our Current Projects page to see what is currently under construction.
